Lorraine D. Jones, B.A.

Lorraine D. Jones, B.A. is a Research Assistant at edCount, LLC, where she provides support to associates and senior staff in the execution of project tasks, research activities, report production, and proposal development. Ms. Jones also assists with materials development for various studies and presentations as well as data management. Her recent work includes assisting in edCount’s servicing of the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center on accountability reporting through report production and various project management tasks.

Ms. Jones received her B.A. from California State University, Northridge. During her five years as an educator she gained experience teaching various populations in Texas, New York, California, and Washington, DC, fueling her passion for equity in education. As a classroom teacher, Ms. Jones led the development of rigorous ELA instructional content for grades 2, 3, and 5, and was responsible for presenting new instructional content and assessment data to drive the team’s classroom instruction. She also planned various enrichment activities including field trips, projects, and discovery activities. Ms. Jones is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Research and Assessments through Northern Illinois University. Ms. Jones joined edCount in August 2018.
