Policies and System Documentation for Federal Peer Review

edCount helps state and local clients develop, improve, and document policies surrounding assessment implementation and administration. We assist state-level clients prepare and respond to the federal peer review process for general and alternate assessments under Title I of ESEA. We can conduct studies to collect necessary evaluation information for this purpose, or review completed packages for states to ensure they are compliant prior to being sent to the U.S. Department of Education.

Technical Advisory Committees: Convening, Facilitating, and Participating

 edCount has convened assessment technical advisory committees (TACs) for the Puerto Rico Department of Education and the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center. In addition, edCount's CEO and Chief Scientist, Ellen Forte, Ph.D., is a veteran TAC member, currently serving on seven annual and semi-annual TACs.

Reviewing and Documenting Accommodation Policies

edCount reviewed the Puerto Rico Department of Education's (PRDE) implementation of its accommodation policy to ensure that all students who take the island's general assessment (the PPAA) have the best opportunity to demonstrate what they know and can do.
