edCount provides high-quality, research-based technical assistance to state and local clients that wish to improve the alignment and delivery of classroom instruction, as well as the administrative processes that support it. Our instructional alignment and capacity building services focus not only on creating systemic resources to support teachers and administrators in their jobs, but also on helping practitioners build the capacity to continue to implement, grow, and evaluate such systems themselves.

Transitioning to New Academic Content Standards

edCount is helping the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center transition to using the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Starting in 2012, edCount and the Clerc Center will identify key priorities and timelines for curriculum changes and additions, and will determine a multi-year implementation schedule for these new academic content standards. edCount is also working to identify and make available CCSS Implementation Resources to support the Clerc Center's transition.
