Alex Snipes, M.A.

Alex Snipes, M.A. is an Associate at edCount, LLC, where she provides support to other associates and senior staff in the execution of project tasks, research activities, report production, and proposal development. Ms. Snipes has aided in the data analysis and report production for a large-scale alignment evaluation in grades 3 –8 Math and ELA for the New York State Department of Education (NYSED). Ms. Snipes has also helped orchestrate virtual item writing training sessions and webinars for the NYSED project.

Ms. Snipes received her M.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2018. During her graduate studies, Ms. Snipes worked as both a teaching assistant and a research assistant, teaching Introduction to American Government, Introduction to International Relations, guest lecturing in The Far Right in Western Democracies course and researched cross-national electoral behavior with Dr. Cas Mudde. After receiving her B.A. from the University of Georgia in International Affairs and French in 2015, Ms. Snipes worked as an English Teaching Assistant as a part of the Teaching Assistantship Program in France (TAPIF) in Lille, France, teaching English to middle school students at two French middle schools. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Snipes worked as a research assistant for the School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Georgia and conducted analysis of gendered narratives of female radical right party leaders in English and French contexts. While an undergraduate, Ms. Snipes also worked as a Study Abroad Ambassador for the University of Georgia’s Office of International Education and as a Legislative Intern for U.S. Congressman David Scott. Ms. Snipes joined edCount in November 2018.
