Jamie Phlegar is an Associate at edCount, where she works with the business development team on proposal development and provides support to senior staff with various writing projects. Her current and past projects at edCount include: assistance with the item development process for New York State assessments for grades 3-8 ELA and math; assistance with data analysis and report production for alignment evaluations of Georgia’s statewide assessment system for ELA, math, science, and social studies grades 3-8 and Alaska’s statewide assessment system for ELA and math; technical support for the REL-Mid Atlantic Educator Effectiveness webinar series.
Jamie Phlegar received her M.A. in Writing, Rhetoric & Technical Communication and a B.A. in Sociology and Spanish from James Madison University. After earning her B.A. in 2015, she interned at Empowered Women International, a very small nonprofit whose mission is to create jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for immigrant, refugee, low-income, and at-risk women in the Greater Washington DC Metro Area. She later joined their team as a Program and Operations Associate, supporting senior staff with event planning and execution, client outreach, client tracking, and marketing and communication. Jamie joined edCount in March 2016.
