Tracy Fazio, M. Education is an Associate and Mathematics Specialist with edCount, with extensive knowledge of the Common Core State Standards for mathematics and application in instructional settings. Ms. Fazio has over a decade of experience leading mathematics initiatives at the classroom, school, district, and state levels in Arizona. These roles have given her a wide range of experiences with curriculum and assessment development.
Specializing in K-12 mathematics within the Arizona Department of Education, Ms. Fazio provided leadership to educators across the state in best practices within mathematics instruction. She was also part of the team that was responsible for the initial roll out of the Common Core State Standards in mathematics in Arizona, lending expertise and guidance to foster a deep understanding of the standards and how to best implement them within instructional practices. Ms. Fazio has experience facilitating professional development for state and district-wide audiences including teachers and administrative staff to refine and improve instructional practices in mathematics. Ms. Fazio contributed mathematics content and standards alignment expertise on national and state assessment committees including item development, content and bias review, and data review to the Arizona Department of Education.
Ms. Fazio received her B.A. in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix.
