In July 2025, edCount and our partner, NCS Pearson Inc., were awarded a contract to support the Tennessee Department of Education in a five-year project to develop and support the administration of the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP). edCount will provide assessment development services for the following alternate assessments: grade 2 math, grade 2 Early Literacy Assessment, grades 6-8 social studies, and grades 3-8 and Biology science assessments. We will support alternate assessment item development, creation of test administrator proctor scripts, organization and facilitation of content, accessibility, and data review meetings, test form development, and creation of technical documentation materials for the TCAP-Alt. edCount has been working with the Tennessee Department of Education for the past ten years, five of those years with Pearson, and we look forward to continuing this partnership to enhance educational outcomes for students across Tennessee.
